Elmo is not ok!?

I'm sure some of you have heard about the outpouring of "I'm not ok," directed at Elmo last week when he tweeted "How's everybody doing?"

Roxane Gay writes about this and how "...many of us are isolated and dealing with all manner of problems." She wonders why we don't talk about our struggles more and reminds us of our human desire for connection and hope.

I've been wanting to post about this and ask, "How are you doing?" And, it wasn't until today, that I could.

My 2 week work out? I got 4 out of 7 days in. I have been exhausted and allowing myself to find my work intuitively. So, a bunch of "real work" fell off the plate.

This week it looked like: Packing and worrying (ok, freaking out) about my baby (7) who is traveling to India with his Papa this week; Delivering messages to my mom about her goddaughter's has aggressive, stage 3 uterine sarcoma; Accompanying my 81 year old mom to her first classes at the community center; Supporting S while her friend went into ICU & died a few days later; And, naps.

I'm feeling some energy come back to me as I rest when I need to and have today at noon to look forward to when my girlfriends arrive for the weekend.(UPDATE: CANCEL THAT! NOROVIRUS just struck our house!!)

So, HOW ARE YOU? Reach out to me and let me know!
